Spirit Reaches Husband Hill Summit

After a many-months long climb, the Mars Rover Spirit has finally made it to the top of Husband Hill. Husband Hill is the tallest of the 7 hills seen from Spirits landing site and was named for the commander of the Space Shuttle Columbia. Perched atop the hill at nearly 270 feet above the plain, the view is breathtaking.To get a sense of how far Spirit has traveled, check out this view of the Columbia Hills Complex taken from Spirit's landing site more than 3 kilometers away.
