Brought To You By Apache, Literally

It's official, Complex Distress has been migrated to Apache. Since the site went live almost 2 years ago, the site has been faithfully served by Abyss Web Server. And, I've gotta say, Abyss is a great personal web server. It's easy to install, configure, and maintain. But it has one major flaw, it lacks support for virtual hosting. Virtual Hosting is the ability to serve up multiple websites from the same machine. And since I'm running about 10 websites, that was a major drawback. Using a PHP script, I got it working so all the sites could be served, but I had to place each site into a subdirectory that shows in the URL. I hated that, and wanted it gone. I had tried Apache originally before selecting Abyss, but found it too difficult to setup.Fast forward 2 years, and I've finally tried Apache again, this time with great success. You'll notice that Complex Distress no longer has that aweful subdirectory in the URL.
