Hotmail Finally Increases Storage Limits

     - Thursday, June 24, 2004

Actually, they just announced they will increase the storage limits -- this fall. It's going up to 250 MB of storage, and 10 MB message size. It's about time! When I first started with Hotmail, 2 MB's seems like plenty. But then I had friends telling me they were sending message that I never got because Hotmail bounced them due to size restrictions. Too little, too late, unfortunately. I've already moved to Gmail.

I'm still a little unclear about how Google is going to be able to afford storage once Gmail goes public. Even the largest hard drives could only support about 320 users.

Well, I confess, my main problem with webmails is the space they give me ok, but the access speed is also a big big trouble.
When I think about those inaccessible, full-banners, advertising and such on Yahoo and Hotmail : i'm sick!

Why the hell Hotmail uses images for its menus? I just need to read my mails!! For real guys, did they think that it's nicer?

Google on the other hand is very light and 1Gb is greater that 250Mb ;-)

Too little too late is right. I love American competition!
