Googling Complex Distress
     - Thursday, June 24, 2004
Looks like some of my hard work is finally paying off. Complex Distress has been indexed into Google. Yipee! There's been a jump in visitors of about 25% since the Google spider visited. Not sure if it just took some time, or if there was something particular I did. I've been trying to swap links with other sites, and I submitted the URL to a bunch of search sites. There was also the Free Find site search. Maybe it was just a matter of time.

yup, the more sites that link to you the higher your google rating. keep up the good work!
Congrats! Another neat trick to have a higher rank on google is to associate search strings to links to your page.
Take this example:
Google search "shove this up your webpage". You will see that your site is ranked 2nd out of 9000+. Why is that?
- you have a page named: shove-this-up-your-webpage.html
- the page title contains "Shove This Up Your Webpage"
- the text of the link to that page is "Shove This Up Your Webpage"
- the link is present on a lot of webpages (it is containted in your blog navigation)
All these are exploits that people have been using for a long time to get a higher rank on google. Blogger.com makes them come naturally.
So, how about having your blog topranked for the string "best site ever"? I will surely give it a try!
Cheers, Vlad
