Spammers and hackers aren't the only things on the internet you need to watch out for. Spyware and Adware are programs which automatically install themselves into your computer and track your movements on the internet. You'll see it in the form of new search toolbars or popup messages with advertising. It needs to go!
Download Ad-aware from Lavasoft and scan your computer. You'll get a report of what needs to be uninstalled and then you can choose what to remove. You want the Standard Edition which is free.
